Robert Johnstone - Consulting Director

Following graduation with a Business degree from Heriot Watt University, Rob began his logistics career when he joined Christian Salvesen as a management trainee, then held a number of operational and commercial roles, principally with customers Sainsbury and Marks and Spencer.

After completing his 'apprenticeship', Rob moved into consultancy where he worked with clients in food manufacturing and the brewing industry to deliver service enhancement funded by productivity improvement.

Rob has operated at director and senior management levels for Northern Foods, AAH Distribution, Princes Soft Drinks and Baylis Distribution, undertaking a variety of challenges including strategic and operational reviews, warehouse developments, change and culture management, project management and implementation, cost reduction programmes and new contract start-ups.

He has also provided consultancy and interim management services for AG Barr plc, the soft drinks manufacturer and Keystone Distribution UK, the logistics services provider for McDonald's Restaurants.

Whatever the challenge, Rob brings an air of professionalism with a hands-on style.

Rob is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, the Chartered Institute of Management and the Institute of Interim Management.
